We’re honored to share that AEM was named Best Forecasting & Early Warning Solution at the 2025 Global Hydromet Excellence Awards, organized by the Varysian Network and presented in Vienna alongside the Meteorological Technology World Expo earlier in October.

This recognition reflects AEM’s ongoing commitment to advancing the hydrometeorological industry through innovative, impactful solutions that strengthen forecasting accuracy and improve early-warning capability, so teams can act sooner and with greater confidence when weather turns hazardous.

This recognition was part of a broader showing at the Global Hydromet Excellence Awards; AEM was shortlisted in six additional categories, from accurate local measurements to the workflows teams rely on to act sooner:

  • Best Weather Observation Technology
  • Excellence in Climate & Weather Data Services
  • Best Private Sector–Driven Capacity Building Initiative
  • Outstanding Public–Private Partnership in Hydromet
  • Best Fulfillment of a Challenging Hydromet Project or Installation
  • Outstanding Lightning Detection and Early Warning Solutions

Powered by people and partnerships

None of this happens alone. It takes engineers and scientists refining models, field technicians installing and maintaining equipment in difficult terrain, and partners who help expand access to reliable early-warning systems worldwide. We’re deeply grateful to our global AEM team—and to the customers, agencies, and collaborators who continue to challenge and inspire us to do better every year.

To our customers, partners, and peers in the hydromet community, thank you for the trust and collaboration. And thank you to the Varysian Network and the Meteorological Technology World Expo teams for convening and recognizing this work.

Looking ahead

This award isn’t a finish line; it’s encouragement to keep pushing forward. We’ll continue investing in the integration of observation networks, forecasting models, and decision-support tools that fit the way teams operate, turning environmental intelligence into timely action when it matters most.
